Is there ever enough?
Share your work with family and friends!

No…..there is never enough love, at least genuine non judgmental love felt and expressed in any constructive way……because people are constantly substituting love for lust, desire, pain relief, cessation of loneliness, desire for cookies, ordering fast food deliveries, etc.and so since none of those things are actually love-based, there actually remains an infinite reservoir of genuine love waiting to be utilized!
So there is never enough at the same time that there is infinite love to be put to work if only people tuned into the right channel….

That’s my ten cent theory, anyway.

There’s plenty of love to be utilized if only we knew how to access it.

Show business – my life for half a century- is a notorious abuser of genuine love…a profligate spendthrift, if you will.

And thereby hangs many a tale!

Sure, it was my way of paying the rent, this career i had in show biz, but deeper than that, it was my source of the truest, most satisfying love I’d ever felt, or, until my relatively recent maturation and finding 20 years of love with current husband Peter, perhaps the truest love i had ever felt til now.

Actors are seekers of heat. Always looking for the next campfire to tell their story in front of, always looking for the community that will put their labor-weary hands together and make the sound that showed love: applause….i’ve wondered in various writings and poems where the notion of applause came from…the need, the drive for people to show appreciation (dare I say love?) by slapping one hand against the other….cheers and cries of Bravo and Encore came later, I imagine, or the first primitive tribal sounds that meant the same thing, but the first primitive response was to slam those two weird things at the end of your arms together and make a sound unlike any other: applause.

Applause, Applause…..what is it that we’re living for? (goes the show lyric) Applause Applause……Applause….Applause.

And here is where the prompt meets the response: the energy behind a fervent audiences need to show their love…sometimes so vociferously passionate (there’s that word again), that hands become raw and red in the end…..slapping, pounding…..insistent sounds that demand to be heard….demand to be paid attention to…demand to be acknowledged with a long line of performers bending at the waist and in a humble bow of gratitude show those hand slappers the circle has been completed…the blue arc of electricity between stage and audience, between actors and auditors, has been connected, end to end, and the result is the closest thing to Heaven I experienced in many years of long blessed life.

Love.
Never enough.
Always enough.
Forever sought , forever embraced, gratefully intertwined with the utter need for it.

Need and love.
Horse and carriage.
Eggs and bacon.
Tit for tat.
