It used to rain a lot more than it does now. Rain poured & poured from the heavens like Niagra Falls.
Not wanting to miss anything, I used to run out into the rain to walk along Fort Point, under the Golden Gate Bridge. Bold waves raged like waves of passion. No need for boots, raincoat, or umbrella. My hair slicked to my head as if I’d just washed my hair.
It was a total cleansing, a baptism, a celebration.
****************************************************************************************************Jessica,
You’re probably busy with life, your amazing blog, enjoying the sunny weather. (Possibly an emergency or falling sick?)
This week, my writings are brief (125 or fewer words) recollections of this ‘n that: rain, finding money; however, I own a compulsion to send at least 3 writings–even if it’s a 5-7-5 haiku.
I’m holding off on the stars rating system for you & in fact I won’t rate you until you send at least 2 more amazing writings.
Can’t wait to read more.
Thank you.

Hello Everyone!
Please ignore the affixed personal note to my writing partner!
As for walking in the rain without a raincoat–I know I’m not the only one who acts out impetuous, spur-of-the-moment celebrations. Others have more common sense & would never dream of walking –or dancing–in the rain without full panoply of rain gear.
Maybe, as narrator, I’ve been influenced by Gene Kelley’s classic song & dance: “Singing in the Rain”?

Love the moment to moment voice of this!
