So when is life not chaotic?
I mean, really…..when does it ever actually make sense?

Sure, there may be a moment or two, when Love pokes its nosy nose in , convincing us , or trying to, that it has the answer to everything , the balm for all our woes, the Tylenol for all our headaches. And for a brief time, feelings, pure, angelic, sexy and powerful emotions of attraction and mating almost have us believing that Life makes sense…well, at least a certain kind of sense…but, falling in Love does require FALLING, and we all know how injurious that can be.

And we all know we eventually have to pick ourselves up from the hard ground upon which we have fallen, dust ourselves off, and proceed with normal sober daily living. And, like a doggie that has been left out in the cold for too long, Chaos comes barking back, to remind us it needs feeding!

Chaos is our slavish, adoring, face-licking cuddly companion, whether we like it or not….it loves to plop itself right onto our laps and breathe its warm disconcerting breath up our confused nostrils….we cannot avoid Chaos…..it even goes to the bathroom with us. It just has to! That is its nature.

So, why do we even attempt to build a boundary against Chaos? It’s like trying to put a wire fence up around the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean! It is simply not practical or possible, truly, but that doesn’t stop us from trying such futile measures, does it?

It’s like the old Buddhist trope of inviting your adversary to tea….make gentle acquaintance with it…the goddesses of grief, sadness, rage and yes, chaos….its not required you love them, but at least befriend them all…don’t hesitate to sit down with them and respectfully acknowledge their very existence.

They will not be ignored, so why try?
