It seemed impossible, as my views of the ordinary citizenry of our country grew dimmer.
The utter ignorance, the base stupidity, and the grasping greedy clutches people had on their false idol, their orange savior , their idiot president all seemed to indicate that our dear United States of America was beyond repair. At least, the dumber than dumb people I was seeing on my tv screen, interviewed as they all stood in line like doomed cattle to attend a Trump rally or whatever.
Yes, his crowds were getting smaller and smaller, and the crowds in general did seem to be tiring of his worn out messages of doom and self-appreciation. But there were still sooooo many citizens who seemed to think Trump truly was a messenger from God himself, sent here to save our country from who knows what series of catastrophes they imagined we were in the middle of…..each person interviewed by some roving reporter duller, less informed and more stubbornly stupid than the last.
I had grown more and more despondent….would we ever wake up?
My dream was of a Democratic Blue tsunami on MidTerm Election Day, this past Tuesday, November 2….and it promised to come true….but would it? My dream…my blue dream?
WELL……so, HAPPILY, it does indeed seem it did come true….Democrats beat the pants off every possible Republican in every voting booth across the country….Georgia even elected its first Black Female Governor!!! Brava Keisha Lance Bottom!! And other Democratic women governors were elected all over the place…as well as our first openly gay member of congress, and other notable triumphs of good sense and kindness over greed and stupidity, yay, yay, yay!
Trump was, in a word , repudiated.
He is now a president without a country…a man without a soul deserves no country anyway, and on Tuesday, last , we seem to have taken this one away from him. Whew.
Now, if only our smart , experienced, caring Democratic leaders will use all their cunning, wisdom , strength and knowledge to set us on a better road…a road towards economic parity, lower gas prices, ethical behavior in countries around the world, clear-eyed relationships with evil men who have been our enemies forever, and more equitable treatment of all our underserved suffering people…if only they make us better, help us start to heal from the nasty infections Donald Trump has injected into our national bloodstream…….then this area of mine…this dream dreamt blue, will truly have come true.
My fingers remain crossed.

Great to weave in a dream come true of election results that have transformed this country into a happy map of Blue States!
My co-workers deplore the Donald Trump Reign–yet they were flabbergasted to learn that I actually donated money to many candidates nationwide!
