Glass is Liquid

There is something awesome in neglect
In the graying of boards
And the rusting of nails
Glass is liquid
It thickens at the base.
After a few hundred years
It begins to sag
No match for gravity
No guard against time
Morning glory and crab grass
Stand poised on their tippy toes to conquer the garden
Pine cones can’t wait to acidify the dirt
Dust is coming for your furniture
Moths and earwigs for your clothes
Mud flows downhill, like water
Slowly building up momentom
A brittle crust
Forming on the top
While underneath
All is flow
