New Years 1968
Share your work with family and friends!

I walked out of the bar/restaurant and out into the crazy Times Square mob.
So many people that you couldn’t stand still and the crowd would carry you along.
My new two girlfriends from the bar were holding on to either of my arms.
“Just hold on and don’t get lost,” I said.
They were from Queens and I couldn’t understand most of what they said…
We made our way towards where the ball would drop, as we got nearer to midnight it got crazier.
“Hey bitch, watch where you’re going, that was my foot.” some guy shouted at Inez.
“Listen asshole, buzz off'” said Carol.
The guy came running toward me and I stuck my forearm in front of his face. The old traditional “clothesline”.
Line de ropa.
I think I broke his nose, we didn’t stick around to find out, I was leading the girls away from the scene and the guy was down on his knees.
Happy New Year.
