Leaving a movie mid-way is a lot different than divorcing after many years. In the case of movies, one can wiki a plot and then buy a ticket for more enjoyable show. With divorce, there are papers to sign, houses to sell, mementos to dispose of and the interminable five stages of grief. Leaving a bad movie under cover of darkness is easy compared to the Promethean agony of retreating mid-way from an unwanted life in hope of buying another ticket with the promise of a better plot.
